The 2022 Global Law Deans’ Forum will take place at the University of Oxford, Pembroke College in Oxford, England. This Forum is an opportunity for you to engage with other law school leaders to develop a critical set of issues and proposals in developing a global approach to legal education challenges today.
The Forum is only open to Law School Leaders (Deans (Vice/Associate), Directors, Presidents, Chancellors, Deputies) current and past.
HOTEL & TRANSPORATION ACCOMODATIONS
Each registered attendee is responsible for making their hotel accommodations and transportation to Oxford, United Kingdom. The conference will take place at Pembroke College, St. Aldates, Oxford OX1 1DW, United Kingdom. Below is a list of hotels, the IALS does not have special rates with any hotel.

THEME
The theme of the Forum is Strategic Leadership for the Future. We are eager to explore this theme and continue exchanging ideas to advance legal education globally.
PROGRAM
The Forum will be a day and a half. The Forum will begin on Monday, September 26, with a full day of sessions and breakouts. The second and final day will have sessions and breakouts and will end at lunch. A complete detailed program will be available soon.

The central University is made up of many different sections, including academic and administrative departments, libraries and museums.
There are roughly 100 major academic departments, which are overseen by the four academic divisions: Medical Sciences; Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences; Humanities and Social Sciences.
Each department organizes teaching and research in a different subject area, from Anthropology to Zoology. There are also many smaller, specialist research centers and sub-departments.
The Department for Continuing Education offers part-time, flexible courses and programs for adult learners. It offers more than 1,000 courses each year, including weekly classes, online courses, day, weekend and summer schools, undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications, and continuing professional development courses.

Our core purpose, at the heart of the College since we were founded in 1624, still guides us today:

The Commonwealth
The Commonwealth is a voluntary association of 54 independent and equal countries.
It is home to 2.5 billion people, and includes both advanced economies and developing countries. 32 of our members are small states, including many island nations.
Our member governments have agreed to shared goals like development, democracy and peace. Our values and principles are expressed in the Commonwealth Charter.
The Commonwealth’s roots go back to the British Empire. But today any country can join the modern Commonwealth. The last country to join the Commonwealth was Rwanda in 2009.
