“Welcome to Windsor Law. We are a community of staff, students, scholars, and alum who share a passion for law and justice. For more than 50 years, Windsor Law has had a rich history of upholding an access to justice mission. We define ourselves as a justice-seeking, people-centered, and community-engaged law school. Our commitment to championing our mission and supporting the success of Windsor Law remains strong.
I am deeply honoured to be Windsor Law’s Dean and am proud of our faculty. Our faculty includes scholars who focus on impactful research on relevant topics such as data and privacy, decolonization, class actions, Indigenous legal orders, banking law, injunctions, immigration, migrant workers, Third World approaches to international law, entrepreneurship, and more. Coming together in a spirit of inquiry, our faculty members are leaders in both academia and the legal profession. They publish scholarly articles and books, sit on national and international boards of directors, shape policy, and collaborate with access to justice leaders globally.
I am equally proud of our students. Committed to access to justice, our students work diligently and compassionately to serve the community around them. We welcome students into our program who have varied life experiences in the belief that excellence is served when diverse voices are heard. Our commitment to inclusive excellence is reflected in the diverse student body.
Our alumni number over 10,000 strong and have risen to tremendous heights in their professional careers. Windsor Law has produced great leaders who have gone on to become social justice advocates, partners at national and international law firms, legal aid and human rights lawyers, in-house counsel, government and policy advisors, sports executives, and entrepreneurs. In addition to their impressive achievements, our alumni carry on the Windsor Law ethos of giving back to their community and advancing access to justice in their fields.
We also have a team of staff who show unparalleled care for our students and alumni. They will help you with career planning and placements, health and wellness, academic planning, and extra-curricular engagement.
We recently re-opened the Ron Ianni Law Building following a major renovation that lasted over 4 years. With a $40 million investment, the transformed building opened its doors to students for the first time in 2023. The new space is designed to center students and create a welcoming environment for all, instilling further pride in Windsor Law and enabling us to continue leading in legal research and teaching...” – Dean of School, Reem Bahdi
