Conference on Labour Law and Labour Market in the New World Economy
The program is attached. The registration fee for the Conference on Labour Law is US$350 which is due by March 1, 2010. The registration form for the Conference on Labour Law is attached. There is limited funding from the Fondazione Centro Nazionale di Prevenzione Difesa Sociale-CNPDS, Milan for some financial support for representatives of schools located in developing countries. If you are seeking financial support for attendance, please write a short explanation by March 1, 2010 explaining why you would need a registration fee waiver, hotel or airfare to be able to participate. Due to limited resources, some requests may not be able to be granted for the Conference on Labour Law.
Our hosts advise that you register early to book your hotel because rooms fill up quickly at this time of year. Once you register for the conference, we will provide information on hotels. The Milan Conference Organizers have blocked hotel rooms with instructions on how to make a hotel reservation.
Please note that all Conference delegates are required to write a three to five page paper on one of the topics of the conference to attend the conference. These papers are due by March 1, 2010. Papers for prior conferences have been particularly important to the success of the conferences and many of the papers have been published. You can see the papers from past conferences posted on the IALS website at http://www.ialsnet.org/meetings.html.
General Assembly
All IALS member schools are entitled to send one representative to the three hour General Assembly. Deans of law schools should nominate their school’s representative to the IALS General Assembly by March 1, 2010 by completing the Nomination Form that is attached and sending it to ialsmilan@aals.org. There is no fee for participating in the General Assembly.
Our hosts tell us that if you are interested in attending an opera at La Scala, you can buy tickets at http://www.teatroallascala.org/. To see Leonardo DaVinci’s famous painting “The Last Supper,” it is important that you try to book those tickets as early as you can at http://www.milan-museum.com/.
